The Canadiens decided to call up forward Bobby Farnham from the AHL's St. John's IceCaps for his first sting with the Montreal Canadiens this season.

I have to disagree about Byron though. Ride the hot hand for the season, if any GM is dumb enough to cough up something of value next summer , let him go. Much like Moen in Anaheim or Weise with us, this is production from Byron that he will never be able to match. Sell high in the offseason if another GM is dumb enough to do it.

So you suggest trading Byron, who is signed two more years at 1.66M$? What exactly is good value for us (or over-payment from the other team)? Another third liner? What's the point? Picks? That's pretty much all we'll get, he won't land us Duchene or Simmons... So trade a good body for more picks? Unless it's a high first round, I don't see how that makes the team better. Even if he does half of what he's doing now, I think his contract is a fair one, and we should keep him in the hopes he can keep going this way.

So ride Byrons hot hand and trade him?
